（県央）五城目町 中村地域 / Nakamura Area, Gojome Town

９月中旬になっても酷暑が続く中村地域で稲刈りが始まりました。中村地域は、馬場目岳から流れ出る馬場目川の中流に位置し、小高い山に囲まれた山裾にあります。また、馬場目川から５００ｍ程離れており、２年連続の大水害に遭っている五城目町の中でも、被害を免れた地域です。
In the Nakamura area, where the scorching heat of summer continues even into mid-September, rice harvesting has begun. The Nakamura area is located in the middle reaches of the Babame River which runs from Mt. Babame and is surrounded by low mountains. The area is approximately 500 meters away from the Babame river, making it one of the few areas of Gojome town that has been spared from the severe flooding for two consecutive years.
天日乾燥の米は衝撃的な艶と旨さ。
どんなに文明が進んでも手間がかかっても、これだけは止められないという農家の意思が伝わってきます。
地域を見渡すことが出来る高台の墓地の中に、気根が発達した樹齢５００年以上と言われる巨大なイチョウの木があります。この五城目町の天然記念物であるイチョウが黄色に色づくのは１１月に入ってからのようです。
Within a hillside cemetery that offers a panoramic view of the entire region, there is a humongous ginkgo tree with aerial roots that is thought to be over 500 years old. It is a natural monument of Gojome town and turns yellow in November.
集落入り口にあるバス停。「守りたい秋田の里地里山５０」の標柱もありました。 電柱右側に見える山の中腹にある丸い木が、集落自慢のイチョウの木です。
墓地の入り口には蒼前様が祀られていました。本来の蒼前様とは馬の守護神のようですが、ここの蒼前様は農耕や林業で重要な役割を果たしてくれた牛馬の無病・無事故が願われていました。マップは、中村地域のバス停（守りたい秋田の里地里山５０標柱）周辺を指しています。
