岩井川地域は山沿いの水田が広がる合居（かっきょ）、村中、荒沢の集落で構成されています。
The Iwai River area consists of the villages of Kakkyo, Muranaka, and Arasawa, where rice paddies spread along the mountains.
村民を守る岩井川神社。今年鳥居が新しくなり、春の祭典では神輿も繰り出しました。
老人クラブと親子会が中心となり、花壇の設置などコミュニティ活動が盛んです。
少し高まった所に享保１０年に建てられた岩井川神社があり、春には祭典が行われます。また、地域活動も盛んで、老人クラブや親子会が中心となって、花壇を作り、熱心に管理しています。
The Iwai River Shrine, built in 1725, is located on a slightly elevated site, and a festival is held there in the spring. Also, they have many community activities, with the senior citizens' club and the family association playing a central role in creating and enthusiastically maintaining flowerbeds.
１０月中旬、夢・なるせ直売所で紅葉きのこ祭が行われました。
人気の原木なめこはすぐに売れ切れました。
無料の「芋の子汁コーナー」は行列ができるほどの人気です。
東成瀬村の産業祭では、なるせ加工研究会の品々が並び、好評な売れ行きです。

生産活動も盛んで、農事組合法人なるせ加工研究会は野菜等の各種の加工品を作っています。また「夢・なるせ直売所」を加工所に併設しており、１０月には紅葉きのこまつりが行われ賑わいを見せていました。
They produce many different products, and the Naruse Processing Research Association produces a variety of processed vegetables and other products. The "Dream Naruse Direct Sales Center" is attached to the processing plant, and the Autumn Leaves Mushroom Festival was held in October, attracting a lively crowd.
