(県央)由利本荘市 東由利地域/Higashiyuri in Yurihonjo city

県内の大学に通う外国人留学生を含む9人の若者が、「農家民宿・産直やしお」で、空き缶で新米を炊いたり、昔ながらの脱穀やまき割りを体験しました。また、稲を天日干しする「はさ掛け」や出荷直前の籾摺り作業を見学し、初めて見る農作業に目を輝かせて色々と質問をしていました。

Nine young people, including a few international students who attend universities in Akita, spent at the "Farm Inn&Direct Market Yashio", where they got the opportunity to experience first hand the work that goes into producing rice. The participants were able to steam new rice by using an empty can, chop wood, and also learn a traditional threshing method. In addition to that, the participants seemed excited to observe the process of "Hasagake", in which rice is dried on a rack. Also, the participants were able to witness the hulling of rice before it was shipped.

秋田のグリーン・ツーリズムを楽しみ、PRしてもらおうとNPO法人秋田花まるっグリーン・ツーリズム推進協議会が若い世代を対象に研修を開きました。このあと大仙市と秋田市での開催を予定しています。

The NPO "Hanamaru Green Tourism Promotion Council" held a training session for younger generations in order to promote green tourism in Akita. The NPO is planning to hold two more events: with one will be holding in Daisen city and the other in Akita city.
